The role
We are looking for a qualified auditor to join our Film & TV team in Dublin. This is a busy and rewarding role that would suit someone looking to partner with clients in an ever-growing industry.
In this position, you will report into managers, directors, and partners.
The firm’s Film and TV department are the market leaders in this sector in both Ireland and the UK and offer a dynamic environment with huge scope for professional and personal development as the firm grows. Saffery in the UK are the market leaders in film and TV finance. The UK sector is the largest production hub outside of Los Angeles with countless LA companies and studios now choosing the UK and Ireland to produce their content and with on-going expansion of the Irish market.
The ideal candidate will be a commercially focused, motivated, and ambitious individual looking for a challenge in an industry that has doubled in size in Ireland in the last three years and is set to double again in the next two years.
The responsibilities
Aside from the typical audit/accountancy work you might expect the more specialised work you would have exposure to would be as follows:
- Preparation and review of S481 applications to the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media
- Preparation of production expenditure analysis for inclusion in cost of production accounts
- Preparation of tax credit estimates for upcoming productions
- Preparation of tax opinion letters
- Preparation of cost of production accounts for productions
- Submission of S481 tax credit claims to the Revenue Commissioners
The team
The Film & TV division has 80+ staff with 20 based in Dublin. You will have full support of several Partners in Dublin and London, with a team consisting of Senior Managers, Managers, Assistant Managers, Seniors and Trainees.

You
- ACA or ACCA qualified, with experience working in an audit and accounts practice
- Passionate about delivering quality and ensures that client needs are met, benefiting both the client and the firm

- Sets priorities, defines activities, gives responsibilities and plans work so that results are achieved on time

- Shows both a strong technical accounting and audit knowledge and an ability to apply this to bespoke client situations

• A 35 hour working week and a hybrid working policy with a minimum of 2 days in the office (our core hours are 10-4)

• Eligibility for the firm’s Profit-Sharing Plan. Payment is usually c€1,000. Paid in December
• Paid overtime or time off in lieu
• Working from home allowance of €27 a month
• New client referral scheme. Members of staff introducing a new client to the firm, have the potential to receive a referral payment of up to 10% of the first year’s total fees
