The Role
We are looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Qualified Senior Associate, to join our Manchester audit team. Applicants must be either ACA or ACCA qualified and be able to display a commercially minded and organised approach to client work.
You will become a key part of a rapidly growing team, which provides a wide range of audit, advisory and accounting services to a huge range of diverse clients.
Our Audit Senior Associates:
• Project manage and drive forwards the audit and accounting process, including liaising directly with senior individuals in clients’ finance teams.
• Get actively involved in every aspect of the audit process, taking ownership of planning, fieldwork, and the completion on audit engagements, working closely with managers and partners.
• Have the opportunity to get involved in the direction and overall running of the team
There may also be opportunities to work on ad hoc projects e.g. department or firm wide working groups and client advisory work.
Our Audit Senior Associates are often given the opportunity to manage a small portfolio of jobs, which helps you to develop the next stage of your career progression. With exciting growth plans in the team, we have a successful framework in place where you will be supported and encouraged throughout your time with us, to allow ample opportunity for further development.
We will also consider applications from candidates that are due to fully qualify in the next few months.
The Team
Our Manchester office is home to 5 partners and over 100 staff. Our modern, purpose-built office space on John Dalton Street has been designed to provide a working space that is conducive to team collaboration and agile working.
The team is comprised of a variety of departments and specialists who provide a wide range of services both locally and nationally.
You will be joining a supportive and collegiate Audit team, offering the opportunity to develop new skills and accelerated career growth opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong audit experience, including planning and completion.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Client-focused with a keen sense of commerciality.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel and Word, and familiarity with CCH accounts and audit automation (preferred).
• Up-to-date technical knowledge, including recent developments in accounting and auditing standards.
• Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and pressured environment.
• Proactive nature and a strong team player.
