Description

We are looking for an experienced corporate tax specialist at Assistant Manager/Manager level to join our new Leeds office and be a part of our fast-growing and dynamic Northern Regional Group.

The mix of work will be varied as the client base of the corporate tax team is across a diverse range of business sectors within the local market.

The role involves working on a portfolio of clients with a wider team responsible for delivering CT compliance and advisory services proactively and efficiently.

The individual will oversee the compliance process on their portfolio of clients, reviewing/ signing off tax computations and returns, identifying client opportunities and working with tax partners/ the wider team and clients to deliver answers to adhoc queries and work on related advisory projects.

There will also be the opportunity to train and coach more junior staff as well as get involved in firmwide initiatives.

The Team

The corporate tax teams in the Leeds and Manchester offices work together as one CT North team to deliver corporate tax advisory and compliance services. The team, headed by 2 partners, comprises of over 20 members from director to tax assistant.

The Office

These are exciting times for the local office with the recent expansion from Harrogate to brand new, purpose-built office space in Leeds City Centre in September 2024. 

You

  • Preferably CTA and/or ACA qualified
  • Recent experience in working with clients and a team to manage a corporate tax portfolio to deliver advisory and compliance work and will need relevant strong client handling and managerial skills as well as detailed up to date working knowledge of corporate taxation issues (especially those relating to owner-managed businesses).
  • Ability to be pro-active, resilient and driven; displaying a positive approach to work and have the ability to get things done.
  • A team player
  • Experience of organising the delivery of tax work, problems solving and the ability to use their own initiative is essential. In addition, you should possess the confidence and professionalism to establish credibility at all levels, be commercially minded and have a clear perception of client requirements
