The role

This role provides TA partnering to our fee earning business units covering tax and audit and is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced talent acquisition professional with extensive direct hiring experience and great internal client relationship management skills.

The responsibilities

  • Full recruitment lifecycle for professional roles, including senior-level hires and specialist roles across Saffery's experienced hires for accountancy and tax.
  • Proactively headhunt exceptional talent and be a champion for the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with business leaders at all levels.
  • Stay connected with external market factors as well as new best practices/trends affecting recruiting.
  • Understand the importance of the candidate's experience and the ability to always operate with a stakeholder focused mindset.
  • Reporting on metrics – Time to hire, cost per hire, with a key focus on keeping group leaders up to date on candidate pipeline.
  • Experience of designing effective and innovative recruitment strategies.
  • The Talent Acquisition Leads (TAL) will report to the Head of Talent Acquisition.
  • The TAL is responsible for upholding the Saffery Champness values and ensuring they limit any compromise to both the Saffery’s employment and People Experience brands. As the holders of their portfolios, they should always represent their team and colleagues in the most positive light.

 

The team

The role sits within the Talent Acquisition team, part of the wider People Experience team. The TA team is formed of experienced TA Leads and Administrators who cover 10 Saffery offices across the UK and Ireland, in a collegiate environment with a culture of supporting the development of everyone within it.

 

You

  • Experienced practitioner with relevant  experience of recruiting for an accounting firm
  • Experience of supervising colleagues, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with policy and procedure.
  • Experience within area to handle most situations without supervision and provide advice and guidance to others.
  • Experience of interpreting policy and developing procedures/systems.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex information/data and understand the impact on their discipline and wider firm.
  • Able to establish and maintain strong and credible working relationships, influence others and may be required to motivate a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including communicating with technical and non-technical clients and staff at all organisational levels.
  • High levels of commitment and ability to act when necessary.
  • Team-focused mentality, understanding that the Function must work collaboratively to drive success.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to be persuasive.
  • Able to use judgement / experience to tackle issues and seek advice on more complex problems.
  • Strong analytical skills, based on systems and models relevant to the field of work.
  • Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Provides direction, delegating, and removing obstacles to get work done effectively and efficiently.
